20's girl

With her hat, grace and demeanour, she seemed like an image out of the roaring 20s..

that second image ROCKS! i like both but if they were my children, i'd show favouritism to the second :-)...."lollipop for you aaaaaaaand you get a pineapple lump."

Beautiful shot. There's something about a black and white photo that makes me want to look at the picture longer. Did she look at you after this shot was taken?

@Kimmie..no she didnt -she was in her own world.

This is my daughter, Bridget, don't you think you should ask for the subject's permission before you use their image? She's a uni student studying film ....

@anonymous. No I dont. Street photographers I admired, like Bill Cunningham, Stieglitz, Weegee, Cartier-Bresson, took images everywhere, no permission. BUT! if you want me to take it down, email me, and I will. Immediately.

I have just rung her and she is OK with it...this style does raise questions of power and powerlessness...what if your image was of a broken person...??
But thanks for offering to take it down...
Good luck with your work.
