Africa Fashion festival...

This is really something to get behind, and they want your help as soon as is possible. So spread the word on this. You might be willing to come on board as a sponsor. In an era where we desperately need a little diversity in Fashion, this really will mix up the local scene, and add to it’s vibrancy. I could think of nothing better than having this Festival in Auckland and Wellington. And I want to know more about contemporary fashion from the African continent  / by people of African origin.

Pinaman Owusu-Banahene, (pictured) is the Executive Producer of Africa Fashion Festival - a festival that celebrates Africa’s vibrant and diverse culture and incredible creativity in New Zealand through fashion, dance and music.

Pinaman was born in Accra, Ghana and for the last 12 years she has called New Zealand home. Pinaman works for the Ministry of Health as a Senior Advisor.

She says: "I believe fashion, music and dance are great art forms that enrich our experiences and challenge our deep-seated assumptions. I hope Africa Fashion Festival provides an outlet for all New Zealanders to experience the cultural richness and incredible artistic talent from the diverse and vibrant continent of Africa".

The Africa fashion festival is scheduled for 7 – 10 May 2015 in Auckland, and 14 – 17 May 2015 in Wellington.

So give up some funds here!
